summer nights.

Just a super quick post, i seem to be very busy doing nothing! This is really a fall dress but i love rolling up the sleeves and wearing it with no tights in summer evenings.

prom.

So guys, i had the infamous prom last night. And it actually was such an amazing night and I'm actually really sad its over as we have been planning it for so long. Although i am pretty tired considering i didn't go to sleep all night due to after parties. I decided not to dress 'promish' as personally i don't really like the look and it wouldn't of suited me, so i decided to go for a more me approach. I found this dress a couple of months back, as a special edition Topshop maxi dress, i feel in love with the pattern and the black lace at the top. And yes i may have been the only girl in a printed dress but i loved it. I accessorized with my rings, dangly earrings and messy clipped up hair.

London happenings.

Yesterday I went to London with my mom for a day trip. I love going to London I always feel a certain buzz when I'm there and I had a wonderful day yesterday. We went for out usual drinks and food at the Tate Modern Cafe, sadly it was a pretty miserable day weather wise but i suddenly got excited when I found out we were allowed to take photos in the art rooms. Which is unusual as normally in England you aren't allowed to take photos, so I took millions! I normally go to London every couple months, however this time we didn't go to see a specific exhibition. But it was great to just wonder around the different gallery rooms some of the photography was amazing and there was some real great pieces by Jackson Pollock, Claude Monet, Robert Rauschenburg and Andy Warhol and Gerhard Richter (which i shall do a separate post about). We also then went to the Victoria and Albert museum to see the Fashion section. There were some great pieces like some YSL, Ossie Clark, Rei Kawakubo, Chanel, Madeleine Vionnet and there was also an Alexander McQueen piece from his spring/summer 2010 collection. It was so strange to see a piece like that, the graphic print intwined into the dress and also this truely fashion forward/futuristic piece surrounding with all the remembrance of past dress times. The sheer skill was shown by how the pattern was used and by knowing how it was to be assembled in just the right places was just amazing to see.

denim on denim?

Super quick post, just in got in from dance and i'm stooped (stooped? what kinda word is that!) but i have finally had time to at least do a post as all week i have been stressing over learning french which was finally over today, YES. Um yeah simple outfit, but i kinda like the top button done up on the denim jacket, and technically the dress is chambray but still thats like a form of denim. So what do you think the denim on denim look yay or nay? or maybe only alexa can carry it off?

hearts and heels.

I'm just about to go to the cinema with my friend to see Date Night, I don't really know much about it but iv heard its suppose to be very funny and that Tina Fey is in it, so hopefully lots of laughs tonight!

I'm wearing a heart crop top that I found this weekend in my moms wardrobe, its vintage Benetton made in Italy. I fell in love with it, as I have not yet purchased a crop top even though they are every where and hearts seem to popping up too so its a great combo! Also wearing my autograph cardigan which I cant seem to take off at the moment, urban outfitters skirt and topshop heels.

Oh also Frock Me with Alexa Chung and Henry Holland has just recently started up again so iv been watching that today, if you are viewing in England check it out, its on Sundays at 12.30 on channel 4!

summer please stay forever.

One of my more summery outfits as of late and I'm so enjoying dressing for the weather, had a lovely day lazing in the grass and then to see my niece. Now i am going to learn some french.

Wearing topshop shorts, and clogs, vintage floral leotard - which i have been wearing alot of lately, but im trying to wear it in different looks.

Today i went for a lovely walk, at a local manor house. The house and grounds are just beautiful like secret garden, in vast acres. I wore a vintage floral leotard, h&m cardigan, vintage belt, black dress which i folded into a skirt and topshop sandals.

Here is what I wore today, an oxford university tee, topshop rara skirt,lock bag, urban outfitters necklace, and topshop clogs.

I was slightly sceptical at first to pair them with black tights as they are brown, however I actually think the clogs work really well the casual look. Wont be posting for a few days going to see family, have a lovely end of the week!

music makes you loose control.

On Friday I went to one of the regular band nights i go to, it was lots of fun, more so than usual as there were alot more people and more bands, with some pretty funny songs. Me and some friends jumped/danced all night with exception of going outside to cool off and to dance in the rain. I am wearing an urban outfitters shirt, vintage velvet shirt, topshop sandals. Not the greatest outfit, but i felt going casual for easter sunday. Wearing chambray blue shirt from urban outfitters, zara skirt, topshop sandles, accessorize belt.

tapered trousers.

I haven't done an outfit post in ages! and i miss doing them! here are the tapered trousers from urban outfitters that i wore to London. Yes it was raining so i donned my brogues, republic leather jacket, and wore it with an illustrated people t-shirt to dress it down.
